KaJones is an acoustic guitar duo consisting of Brian Jones and Brian Kanhofer hereafter referred to as Kanhofer and Jones.
Kanhofer and Jones met through a mutual friend on the campus of University of Delaware, but it was in Baltimore that their musical styles merged together. Jones has been playing music for 20 years beginning with violin as a tiny child. After switching to guitar as part of a mild sibling rivalry (he won), he learned a certifiable catalog of popular cover songs and classical music. Kanhofer has spent much of his time writing his own blues music and perfecting the art of the aggressive acoustic guitar solo. His musical exploits likely lured his wife Corinne to him.
Jones and Kanhofer began their friendship primarily as drinking buddies in Baltimore, where they left a path of destruction throughout Federal Hill, Canton and Fells Point. Many nights started with chugging contests, and ended with...more chugging. A volatile mix out on the town, Kanhofer and Jones are also a formidable team on the Stage.
Kanhofer and Jones ease effortlessly through many different styles of music often landing somewhere near country and blues, though not necessarily on purpose. Both can hold down the singing, the lead or the rhythm, and most songs are not complete without a solo from each. Jones and Kanhofer aren't serious people, and they often laugh at each other's mistakes and failed solos on stage. They will drink with the crowd, but they always stay sober enough to keep both the quality and energy high.
Kanhofer and Jones have been playing together for about a year, and they are only getting better. Requests rarely taken, shots always accepted and top notch entertainment provided. That's the story of KaJones.
